What are we looking forward to?We look forward to meeting you, learning about you, and helping you in any way we can!

Do I need a referral or prescription to be evaluated and treated at ACORN Physical Therapy? No, the state of Ohio allows direct access to a Physical Therapist without a physician’s referral or prescription. This streamlines the evaluation and treatment process, leading to faster recovery, reduced financial costs, and minimized wait times for appointments with physicians.
-
What is an Out-of-Network provider, and how does it work?An out-of-network provider does not participate in the third-party payer system of reimbursement for services. Although each insurance plan varies, most insurances will directly reimburse patients for out-of-network services. ACORN Physical Therapy provides detailed invoices for each visit, allowing patients to submit them to their insurance for reimbursement, providing an effective way to receive credit for treatment. Being an out-of-network provider means cost and time savings, unlike standard insurance covered rehabilitation model where patients are typically seen 2-3 times per week for 30-45 minute appointments and not always with one-on-one Doctoral-educated clinician. At ACORN Physical Therapy you will be seen one on one consistent with your treatment plan, which means you will have full focus and detailed customized approach to your treatment. This means better outcomes, better understanding of the root cause of your pain and how to solve it long term.
-
How do I know if ACORN Physical Therapy is the right fit for me as a patient?ACORN Physical Therapy is the ideal fit for patients who are frustrated with standard approaches to their problems, have experienced unsuccessful referrals between healthcare providers, wish to avoid costly diagnostics and prescription medications, and are seeking practical and functional alternatives to surgery, medication solutions, and options to prevent long-term side effects.
-
How do I schedule an appointment or an initial consultation/evaluation?Scheduling with ACORN Physical Therapy is convenient and flexible. You can schedule your own appointment through our website for quick and complete control over your appointment day and time. Alternatively, you can call us directly to schedule your appointment.
-
What is ACORN Physical Therapy's Cancellation Policy?ACORN Physical Therapy values both our patients' time and our clinicians' commitment to providing the highest quality care. If you cannot make it to your one-on-one appointment, kindly inform us at least 24 hours in advance so we can offer that time to another patient in need. For late cancellations without a 24-hour notice, we offer one-time forgiveness, but the second occurrence incurs a $75 charge, and each subsequent occurrence will be billed at the full cost of the appointment. We truly hope you appreciate and understand our policy.
